Flyer Distribution Criteria

Distribution of printed materials from non-profit organizations, government entities, community clubs, and organizations informing students and parent/guardians of cultural, educational, or recreational activities sponsored by the organization.

 

All flyers must go through an approval process. Organizations wishing to distribute flyers to schools must complete a "Request to Distribute Information to Schools" form. The organization must include their non-profit tax identification number on the request (not on the flyer). Flyers must be approved at least two weeks prior to the distribution date.

 

All flyers must include a disclaimer that states, "This is not a Washington Unified School District sponsored program and WUSD accepts no liability or responsibility for this program/activity."

 

Sara can provide the number of flyers needed per school. Approved flyers dropped off at the district office at least two weeks before the distribution date can be delivered to schools by the district. Flyers can also be delivered directly to schools and must be accompanied by a copy of the approved request form or they will not be distributed.

 

Due to increased requests for flyer distribution, the district has implemented a system where approved flyers will be distributed five times during the school year for students to take home. 

 

Distribution Dates for the 2011-2012 school year:

  • September 13, 2011

  • November 15, 2011

  • January 10, 2012

  • March 13 , 2012

  • May 15, 2012
