The Facilities Planning & Construction Department is responsible for a number of long-range planning and construction activities pertaining to design and implementation of new school facilities and modernization of existing school facilities.  Tasks include long-range facility planning, facility needs assessment, developer fee coordination, liaison with City, County, and State agencies, site acquisition, project planning & design coordination, and overall project administration.

Riverbank K-8 Conversion Project Notice

At the Board of Education meeting on March 22, 2012, the Board of Education directed the Administration to proceed with the Riverbank K-8 Conversion project using the lease lease-back delivery method. As such, the posting of the Project Manual, plans, and related documents have been removed from the website. The mandatory job walk has been cancelled and the Washington Unified School District will not be accepting bids under a traditional delivery method. If a potential bidder paid for a plan set, they can request reimbursement from the District by sending proof of payment to:
